This hands-on virtual training is designed for braille transcribers who want to build their skills in creating clear and accessible
tactile graphics using tools they already have. The focus will be on using Microsoft Word, with a brief overview of other tools, such as TactileView, allowing you to explore options without needing to invest in new software. You’ll learn how to access graphics from the APH Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) and adapt them using Word. Throughout the session, you’ll receive practical tips on layout, labeling, and formatting, as well as time to create and reflect on your graphics. Whether you’re new to tactile graphics or looking to refine your process, this session is designed to provide you with practical strategies you can apply immediately.
